Quote of the Day

"When I die, I want to go peacefully like my Grandfather did, in his sleep -- not screaming, like the passengers in his car"

The shrub's note to Obama

shamelessly borrowed from

How cool is this picture!

The President of the United States and the First Lady

I can't stop smiling!! WE WON!!! And when I say "we" I mean the people who voted with hope in their hearts instead of fear. We won because tolerance triumphed bigotry. We won because now we get a chance to take back our government from a criminal cabal of thugs.

I am giving him the benefit of doubt about the Warren incident for the time being because I am just so friggin' damn proud!

The first responsibility of a leader is to define reality. The last is to say thank you. In between, the leader is a servant.

Buh-Bye Shrub!!

As proud as I am right now and still can't help but look at this evil piece of human refuse with such hate in my heart...

I never knew I could hate so much, I didn't think it possible. This is definitely something I have to let go of. But it will take along time for that. As long as it will take for us to fix the damage he has done.

This I'm sure will not be my last post about this shit stain, but for now at least he can't do ANY MORE damage.

Oh, one other thing. Any of you shrub lackeys don't get a say anymore. Here or anywhere else. From now on you are marginalized to the fringes. Or better yet, why don't y'all slither back into the sewers where you came from.

Yup, I'm a liberal and I'm pissed. Everybody should be after what those fuckers did to us all!

Goodbye and good riddance you friggin' Douche Bag!

Good Bye & Thanks for the Memories...

You ruined Countries. Bankrupting one and laying waste to another. You divided a Nation and a Planet. If there is truly any justice you MOTHER FUCKER you'll get some sort of excruciatingly painful type of brain or stomach cancer that slowly rots away at you for years and years and years...

May the pain and agony of the millions of people you had murdered and tortured and whose lives you destroyed be with you for all eternity you pathetic miserable excuse for a human being.

Reverend Al Brings it Home!

"I am tired of seeing ministers who will preach homophobia by day, and then after they're preaching, when the lights are off they go cruising for trade…We know you're not preaching the Bible, because if you were preaching the Bible we would have heard from you. We would have heard from you when people were starving in California–when they deregulated the economy and crashed Wall Street you had nothing to say. When Madoff made off with the money, you had nothing to say. When Bush took us to war chasing weapons of mass destruction that weren't there you had nothing to say.

But all of a sudden, when Proposition 8 came out, you had so much to say.

There is something immoral and sick about using all of that power to not end brutality and poverty, but to break into people's bedrooms and claim that God sent you. It amazes me when I looked at California and saw churches that had nothing to say about police brutality, nothing to say when a young black boy was shot while he was wearing police handcuffs, nothing to say when they overturned affirmative action, nothing to say when people were being [relegated] into poverty, yet they were organizing and mobilizing to stop consenting adults from choosing their life partners."

The Reverend Al Sharpton preaching at the Human Rights Ecumenical Service held at Atlanta's Tabernacle Baptist Church this past Sunday.

Our birth is but a sleep and a forgetting; The soul that rises with us, our life's star, Hath had elsewhere its setting, And cometh from afar; Not in entire forgetfulness, And not in utter nakedness, But trailing clouds of glory do we come From God, who is our home.

William Wordsworth (1770-1850)

Quote of the Day

I have spent my days stringing and unstringing my instrument while the song I came to sing remains unsung.

New Year...
